Thick or Curly Hair

Your hair can hold a lot of weight, meaning that nothing is off limits to you when it comes to your accessories!

Having a lot of hair or a mass of curls presents a different kind of issue though when it comes to the details on your accessory, so here are my tips for you.

Style it up

Speak to your hair stylist about when to get a trim or colour before your wedding and check what prep you need to do the night before your wedding.

Your go-to pieces

Your best friends: Anything with lots of detail

To avoid details getting lost in your hair, especially with tight curls, accessories that are heavily detailed work best in your hair.

Play with metallic elements

Many of my bespoke pieces have been designed around vintage brooches, which make great central features on hair vines, combs and headbands.

For curly girls, go BIG with headbands, so the detail stands out above your curls.

Challenging for some (but not you!): Hair Pins

Hair pins work best in up dos, but you may find that if you have very curly hair, they may sit in your hair when it’s loose.

Remember to keep the details bigger so you don’t lose them in your hair.

What to avoid

Anything where the detail is too small, as it’s likely to get lost in your beautiful mane!
