Proud To Be Listed On The Boho Bride Guide!
This is something I’ve been quite excited about for a while…so much so that I registered my interest to be considered for the Boho Bride Guide back last year!
Unlike many directories, they only open their doors to new members every so often, so I played the waiting game and filled out my application as soon as I received a notification.
Within an hour, I’d received a response saying I’d been accepted! I was so pleased; this directory is clearly so much more. With weekly lunch meet ups online for members, to in-person networking events that aren’t based solely in London, there’s a really strong sense of support and collaboration from the Boho Bride Guide.
I’ve wondered about paying for directories in the past and dabbled a little. Some were good, others I could tell I was just another person they were making money from, with no interest in supporting me, or their other paying businesses, in their growth.
Having made many changes to my website over the years and figuring out my personal style and what I have to offer my brides, I felt that the terms “boho” and “rustic luxe” fitted the style of my work, and that’s what made me finally consider applying to join the Boho Bride Guide over any other directory.
From a supplier point of view, it was obvious that this was a great opportunity to collaborate with other people with a similar style in the industry, but I equally recognised the huge potential this directory brings to you if you’re planning a boho wedding.
On their website, you can take inspiration from real couples who have submitted their weddings and find out how they pulled their big day together or pick up some tips from the blog and source suppliers that are local to you, all of whom have been vetted by founder Jen.
When you sign up for a free account, you’ll be able to shortlist your favourite suppliers and save your favourite wedding inspiration articles to refer to later.
Plus, you get access to free templates to help you plan your day, manage your wedmin and create a wedding budget spreadsheet - all things I wish I’d had access to when we were planning our wedding!
It’s a must if you’re planning a more eco-friendly day too! You can seek out eco-friendly suppliers, helping you find small businesses that share your values and ethics too.
This is something that’s hugely influenced my own shopping in recent years. I made the decision to only buy cosmetics and cleaning products that were certified cruelty-free (quite tricky with some of the bigger brands back then! Did you know that Rimmel was only officially certified cruelty-free last year?) and chose to go vegan after feeling a bit overwhelmed seeing dairy cows crammed in for milking (I won’t go into details, but I’m a sensitive soul when it comes to animals!). If we were planning our wedding all over again, I think details like these would matter more to me than they did a decade ago.
And I hear from what many of you say in your posts that these things matter to you too.
Finding suppliers who you click with, who share your values and have a style that fits your day is the sure fire way to a dream wedding with minimal stress.
