Elsa Rose Every Day | The Whispers Capsule Collection

Delicate, modern and feminine are the three words I use to describe the 6 pieces that make up the first phase of Elsa Rose Every Day: Whispers. Like many creatives, I’ve grown increasingly more aware of the impact I have on the environment with the products and packaging I use, so this is something I’ve really thought about with this collection.

We live in a fast paced world where fashions fade and go to landfill at an alarming rate. Cheap clothes and accessories fill our wardrobes to be tossed aside within months as the seasons, or our minds, change. I don’t want to be part of that culture. So I’ve decided to try and do things differently.

If you decide that you no longer want your Elsa Rose Every Day necklace, I’m offering you the chance to return it so that I can recycle the silver and gemstones so they don’t go to landfill. In return, you will get a discount voucher for another necklace, or that you could put towards a bespoke accessory if you wanted to. It’s a small step but it’s a start.

So why a simpler every day collection?

I have been asked about jewellery many times but I’m not a silversmith by any stretch. However, I know colour and I appreciate the feel and lustre of gemstones and crystals. This collection came about as I wanted a simple necklace to wear that was a little different. Simple doesn’t mean boring and I believe you can absolutely feel elegant every day with the right balance of elements in a design. This capsule collection of six necklaces has been designed for women looking for just that: understated elegance for every day. Not so fussy that you can’t wear it on the school run and not too little to accent a little black dress for an evening out.

The yellow aventurine stones are more buff-peach than yellow and, as they are gemstones, each one varies in its colour so each necklace that is made will have a uniqueness to it. Their faceted sides reflect the light and colour of the Swarovski crystals, the three shades selected for the way they complimented the pretty signature stones. The colours would compliment all skin tones too and the chain could be made in gold if you prefer.

The delicate sterling silver chain is dainty and feminine and is finished with a sterling silver bolt ring clasp. It is incredibly fine but strong and the stones glide easily along it (quite therapeutic I find!). There’s something about the feel of the geometric shapes that I find quite satisfying to touch and I can imagine you’ll probably find the same!

One of the things I love most about this collection though is the way you can layer the necklaces. I offer four different lengths in each design so you can pick and choose your favourite designs and wear them all together or wear each one individually. I have a longer three stone necklace for when I’m wearing higher necked tops and sometimes wear it with a single stone necklace when I feel like dressing up a bit more. They feel light and aren’t restrictive, but the beautiful yellow aventurine gives each one a bit more substance.
